American college football season
The 1948 St. Bonaventure Bonnies football team , sometimes also referred to as the St. Bonaventure Brown Indians , was an American football team that represented St. Bonaventure University during the 1948 college football season . In its third season under head coach Hugh Devore , the team compiled a 7–1–1 record and outscored opponents by a total of 130 to 59.[ 1]
St. Bonaventure was ranked at No. 76 in the final Litkenhous Difference by Score System ratings for 1948.[ 2]
The team played its home games at Forness Stadium in Olean, New York .
