She turned to producing when disappointed with the roles she was being offered, eventually producing Scorcese's film After Hours.[3] She was a member of the dramatic jury at the Sundance Film Festival in 1987. In 1986, Robinson and her business partner in Double Play Productions, Griffin Dunne, signed a two-year deal with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer to develop motion pictures.[4]
