Ariful Haque (born 12 October 1934) is a Bangladeshi actor and writer.[1][2][3] His debut in the films was through Uttarayan in 1963, directed by Agradoot. Later he migrated to East Pakistan (present-day Bangladesh) and took part in many films.[1] He wrote many books among which Hyadarabad Tragedy o Ajker Bangladesh was notable.[4]
Ariful Haque was born at his maternal uncles's place in village Mahadevpur of Bagnan region of Hawrah District in India on 12 October 1938.[2] He went to Barakpur Govt High School, Uluberia College and Jadavpur University for his education.[citation needed]
Uttarayan, the first film he acted in, was released in Kolkata on 1963.[1] He performed in around two hundred films which were released.[5]
Ariful Haque's most recent films were Prem Nishad directed by AKM Firoz Babu, Chirodini Tumi Amar directed by FI Manik and Gohine Shobdo directed by Khalid Mahmood Mithu.[2]
