Ellis Zorro (born 5 October 1992) is a British professional boxer.
Zorro made his professional debut on 2 December 2017, defeating Jindrich Velecky in a four-round points victory.
On 14 May 2022, at the Boxxer Series cruiserweight tournament, Zorro defeated James Farrell and Jamie Smith in the quarterfinal and semifinal respectively, before defeating Ricky Reeves to win the tournament.[1][2]
Zorro fought Hosea Burton for the WBO European cruiserweight title on 12 May 2023 at York Hall. He won the bout by seventh-round TKO to win the title.[3][4]
Zorro faced Jai Opetaia on 23 December, at Day of Reckoning.[5] Although it was originally for the IBF World cruiserweight title, Opetaia vacated the title after IBF, that wanted a rematch against former champion Mairis Briedis, ruled to not sanction the fight against Zorro.[6] Zorro lost the fight by knockout in the first round.[7][8]
