Expedition 73 will be the 73rd long-duration expedition to the International Space Station (ISS). The expedition will begin with the departure of Soyuz MS-26, expected to take place in March 2025. Takuya Onishi of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) will serve as the commander of the expedition, the third JAXA astronaut to take command of the station.[1] It will continue the extensive scientific research conducted aboard the ISS, focusing on various fields, including biology, human physiology, physics, and materials science. The crew members will also maintain and upgrade the space station systems.
