Greater Manchester bus route 100 is a bus route runs between Shudehill Interchange in the Manchester city centre and Warrington Interchange. It is operated by Stagecoach Manchester on contract from Transport for Greater Manchester, as well as one of the few routes operates out from the Greater Manchester area.
The 100 was initially operated by First Manchester when it had begun operation.[1] Double decker buses was deployed from its Bolton garage. In June 2019, with the selling of the Bolton garage, the route was handed over to Go North West. Go North West deployed some Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B9TL from Queens Road Depot, along with the existing buses from Bolton Garage to operate this route until 2024. With the effect of Tranche 2 of Bee Network, the route was handed over again to Stagecoach Manchester. Stagecoach Manchester also deployed some ex-The City of Oxford Motor services Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B5LH and their own Enviro 400 MMC, along with some Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B9TL from the 135 on the route[2]
Full route operates hourly between Shudehill Interchange and Warrington Interchange.[3]
Along with full route, there are also some services operates part of the route[4]
The pattern forms a quarterly service for stops by Trafford Centre, as well as half hourly for stops by Hollins Green.
