Ishq Vishk Rebound is a 2024 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy-drama film directed by Nipun Dharmadhikari and produced by Ramesh Taurani and Jaya Taurani under Tips Films. A spiritual sequel to the 2003 film Ishq Vishk, it stars Rohit Saraf, Pashmina Roshan (in her acting debut), Jibraan Khan and Naila Grrewal.[3][4]
Ishq Vishk Rebound was slated to be released in theatres on 21 June, 2024.[5][6]
The film talks about heartbreaks and rebound relationships. Raghav is a story writer and gets his first major break in movies to write about a love story. He takes inspiration from his own life to write the story.
Raghav, Sanya, and Sahir are inseparable. However, as they grow older, the dynamics between them change. Sanya and Sahir, once just friends, start dating each other, while Raghav finds himself in a relationship with Riya Mathur (Naila Grewal). Both couples seem happy, but underlying insecurities and immaturity begin to surface.
Sanya and Sahir's relationship starts to crumble due to trust issues and Sahir's growing ambitions. On the other hand, Raghav and Riya’s relationship faces challenges because of Riya’s controlling nature and Raghav’s indecisiveness about his future. Both relationships eventually end, leaving Sanya and Raghav emotionally shattered.
To cope with their heartbreaks, Raghav and Sanya decide to go on a trip together, along with their group of friends. During this trip, Raghav and Sanya spend significant time together and begin to bond over their shared experiences of love and loss. They start developing feelings for each other but remain hesitant to act on them, fearing it might ruin their friendship.
Raghav, an aspiring writer, finds inspiration in his own emotional journey. He begins to work on a script for a romantic drama based on his experiences with love, heartbreak, and the complexity of modern relationships. Sanya becomes his muse, but he struggles to confess his feelings to her, fearing rejection and the possible impact on their friendship.
The climax of the film takes place during a confrontation where Sahir, still harboring feelings for Sanya, tries to win her back. This forces Raghav to confront his emotions and confess his love for Sanya. The situation leads to an emotional revelation for all the characters, where they reflect on their past mistakes and the true meaning of love and friendship.
In the end, Sanya chooses Raghav over Sahir, recognizing the depth of their connection. The film concludes with Raghav completing his screenplay, which becomes a metaphor for their journey together.
Rohit Saraf, Pashmina Roshan, Jibraan Khan and Naila Grrewal were cast as the leads. The film marks Khan and Roshan's screen debut.[7] The principal photography commenced in June 2022[8][9] and wrapped first schedule in July 2022.[10] The film was mostly shot on location in Mumbai and Dehradun.

Bhavna Agarwal of India Today gave the film two and a half out of five stars and wrote, "The major problem with the film is not that it makes rebound seem 'frivolous'. But, it makes a half-hearted attempt or resorts to tokenism to entertain. It is funny and cheesy, yes! But all of this without a soul, feels like a wasted opportunity."[18]
Saibal Chatterjee of NDTV gave the film two and a half out of five stars and wrote, "The best way to approach Ishq Vishk Rebound as a viewer is not to expect the world from it. At least parts of it might then pleasantly surprise you."[19]

Mayur Sanap of Rediff.com rated 1.5/5 stars and notes "Ishq Vishk Rebound is a drab romance and dull comedy that even the intended teen audience might have a hard time keeping up with."[21]
