Kanal D is a television channel operated by Demirören Group which showcases popular Turkish series. Kanal D was launched in Turkey on December 16, 1993, before launching in Germany in 1996.[1][2] The channel now operates worldwide. Each of the individual channels broadcasts with a local schedule, advertising, dubbing and subtitling unique to each territory.[3]
On October 2023, Kanal D established a long-term agreement with Hellas Sat to distribute its television channel via satellite in Romania.[4]
On October 2024, the channel participated in Cannes fair with its content İnci Taneleri and Annem Ankara.[5]
On new year eve of 2025, Kanal D announced a Musical feast produced by Poll Production by Polat Yağcı, 'Şarkılar Bizi Söyler' with Sibel Can, Hakan Altun and clarinet virtuoso Hüsnü Şenlendirici.[6]
