The American country-music singer Morgan Wallen has released three studio albums, four EPs, 26 singles (including seven as a featured artist), seven promotional singles, and 13 music videos. According to the Recording Industry Association of America, Wallen's digital singles have achieved 106.5 million certified units, based on sales and on-demand streaming, as of July 2023. On the US Billboard Hot 100 as of January 2025, Wallen has garnered three number one songs—with 71 total songs to chart on the US Billboard Hot 100 with 33 reaching the top-40, 20 reaching the top-20, 11 reaching the top-10, and four reaching the top-five.[1] On the US Billboard 200, as of December 2024, Wallen has accumulated two number one albums, both of which peaked the chart for ten consecutive weeks or longer,[2][3] and has accumulated 29 weeks at number one on the US Billboard 200, with only Garth Brooks having more weeks at number one for a country music artist.[4] Notably on the US Billboard 200, Wallen is the only artist to have two albums spend at least 80 weeks in the top ten region: Dangerous: The Double Album (158 weeks; 2nd most in history), and One Thing at a Time (91 weeks).
Wallen debuted in 2016 with his debut single and extended play: "The Way I Talk", which became his first entry on Billboard Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts. This was followed in 2017 by "Up Down", a collaboration with Florida Georgia Line which topped Country Airplay after release and became his first Billboard Hot 100 entry, peaking at number 49. The song's follow-ups "Whiskey Glasses" and "Chasin' You" both reached the top-position on the Country Airplay chart, with the former also topping Hot Country Songs. All four of the previously mentioned songs appeared on his 2018 debut studio album If I Know Me. If I Know Me performed moderately on music charts when the album was first released; not reaching the top-ten of the Billboard 200 until Wallen's profile raised in early 2021.
Wallen's second studio album: Dangerous: The Double Album, was released on January 8, 2021, and was proceeded by the Hot Country Songs number one single "More Than My Hometown". The follow-up single, "7 Summers" topped the Hot Country Songs chart, but only peaked at number 15 on Country Airplay chart following a temporary withdrawal of Wallen's music from various radio stations after a February 2021 leak of a video in which the singer used a racial slur.[5][6] After stations reinstated Wallen's music, the tracks "Sand in My Boots" and "Wasted on You" were released as singles as well, with both topping Country Airplay. Dangerous: The Double Album performed well commercially, the album was an immediate blockbuster when released and became the third album overall, and the first since 1987 to spend its first ten weeks atop the Billboard 200 chart—additionally, the album became the first album by a solo artist to spend 100 weeks in the top-ten of the Billboard 200 and eventually set the record for the second most weeks spent in the top-ten of the chart, 158 weeks.
Wallen's third studio album, One Thing at a Time (2023), performed even better than his previous release, spending its first 12 weeks atop the Billboard 200 of its total 19 weeks atop the chart, eventually spending 90 weeks in the Billboard 200's top-ten, and its first three singles topped both the Country Airplay and Hot Country Songs chart. First was "You Proof," whose ten-week run at number one on Country Airplay set a new record for the longest time spent at that position.[7] It also became the first song ever to return to the number one position twice after falling down the charts.[8] "Thought You Should Know" and "Last Night" were the other two singles to top the country charts from the album, with the latter also becoming Wallen's first number one on the Billboard Hot 100. The song held that position for sixteen weeks, the second-longest run at-the-time atop the chart by a solo artist.[9]
On January 26, 2024, Panacea Records released a deluxe 10th anniversary edition of Morgan Wallen's 2015 EP Stand Alone that included eight previously unreleased songs; Wallen simultaneously released an acoustic version of the Stand Alone song "Spin You Around" titled "Spin You Around (1/24)", which topped the Country Digital Song Sales chart the following week.[10] On May 10, 2024, Wallen was featured on Post Malone's single "I Had Some Help", which debuted and peaked atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
