Sanam Chauhdry is a Pakistani former actress who appeared in Urdu television and films.[1] She made her acting debut in Mazung De Meena Sheena (2012) as a supporting actress.[2] Then, she received critical acclaim for Aasmanon Pay Likha (2013) and Zindagi Tujh Ko Jiya (2016), for which she won the Hum Award for Best Soap Actress.[3]
She made her film debut in Jackpot (2018).[4] Sanam also played lead roles and rose to fame in Ghar Titli Ka Par (2017),[5] Ab Dekh Khuda Kya Karta Hai (2018), Haiwan (2018) and Meer Abru.[6] In August 2021, she retired from her acting.[7][8]
Sanam was born on 27 August 1997 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and graduated from the University of Central Punjab.[9] On November 27 2019, Chaudhry married singer Somee Chohan.[10] On 5 October 2020, Chohan announced the birth of their son.[11][12]
Sanam Chaudhry, made her television debut in Mazung De Meena Sheena in a supporting role.[13] In 2013, she portrayed as a rich arrogant girl in Aasmanon Pay Likha[14] opposite Sheheryar Munawar and Sajal Aly. It received critical praise.[15] The, she a made her debut as lead actress in Bhool for which she garnered Hum Award for Best Soap actress.[16]
Then, she appeared in Mere Meherbaan[17] along with Ayeza Khan and Tragedy-series Tere Mere Beech in 2015.[18] In 2016, acted as a Kind woman in Zindagi Tujh Ko Jiya with Furqan Qureshi for which, she won Hum Award for Best Soap actress.[19]
Sanam became established after portraying Anji, a cunning girl in a betrayal friendship drama Ghar Titli Ka Par[20] opposite Aiman Khan and Shahzad Sheikh also it well-received from audience.[21] Then, she appeared in Rubaru Tha Ishq[22] as Antagonistic tomboy opposite Danish Taimoor and Ushna Shah. Also, She acted as an innocent girl, in Ab Dekh Khuda Kya Karta Hai with Humayun Ashraf and Danish Taimoor on their second-screen appearance also, it gained more viewership from critics.[23]
In 2018, she appeared in social drama Haiwaan opposite Wahaj Ali and was nominated by the ARY Digital Social Media Drama Awards for Best Actress.[24] and finally, she appeared as a middle-class girl in Meer Abru[25] along with Noor Hassan Rizvi and received positive reviews.[26][27]
