Dissident93 - the argument about keeping scores out of the prose only applies when there's a review table. That whole argument is based around the redundancy of displaying it twice - it being in prose and the review table. Unless you plan on adding one, it makes zero sense to omit it. Fair enough, but it seems like a silly thing to agree to when it can be avoided by adding a table, even if it only has one or two entries. And the one you reverted back to was a bit redundant itself, saying "mixed reviews" twice before even getting to the actual opinions from critics. At least omit the part about the exact number of reviews being cited, as not even the table is supposed to include that information. ~ Dissident93(talk)03:55, 25 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I merely ripped the preferred wording from WP:RSMUSIC, I didn't particularly object to that change, just the rest of the changes you made in the edit, like when you stripped out the platform it was talking about, or the actual score itself, which was the whole point of the sentence. It should probably be discussed there then, because it's an ugly and bloated way to summarize a piece of media's reception in my opinion. Simply clicking on the Metacritic link would grant the same info in a better presented fashion. ~ Dissident93(talk)05:04, 25 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, whatever, again, like I said, I don't even object to that change. My objection is the removal of the score. The guideline is based strictly around redundancy. You've taken an acceptable scenario (one mention of MC score) and turned it into an unacceptable one (zero mentions of score). It's like you only did half of the fix, and then just dropped it, which only made things worse. Unless you're adding a review table, it needs to be restored. If you want add a review table, fine, but I'm stuck on mobile for the next 24 hours, so I can't right now. Sergecross73msg me13:59, 25 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
