This edit (a revert) caught my eye. I tried to check the figure against the cited supporting source, and found WP:linkrot. I dug up archived pages (e.g., [1], and [2]) and found that both figures were wrong (the correct figure looks like 10,534 per month). I started working to fix the article using the archived pages, then stumbled across some more recent figures here.

This article needs to be audited against current figures and updated. I don't have the time to do that right now, so I'm mentioning it here in case someone else wants to pitch in. I wonder whether the data had been taken before or after the landfall of typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda on Nov 3, 2013. On the maps southeastern Samar is indicated as very poor but this is where Haiyan hit the country first.--Wolle1303 (talk) 08:23, 28 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This edit caught my eye and, beyond the changes made there, it strikes me that this article lacks a proper MOS:LEADSENTENCE, MOS:LEADPARAGRAPH and WP:MOSLEAD section. Looking back at the article edit history, I see that this has been the case for several years.

Along the way of looking back, I saw this image in earlier versions of the article (e.g., this version from 13:29, January 8, 2017), but it is now outdated and unused. With a little googling, I found this similar and more current image in this press release by the Philippine Statistics Authority.
