Carole, it's ready for looking again: I found a 2016 official document of the building as a listed monument, changed a few dates accordingly. If you can point out where translations can be improved, please do so. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:13, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
Your hook ALT is fine, although more about Brandt than the academy, but providing substance to its importance.
ALT1: ... that a speech by Egon Bahr at the Evangelische Akademie Tutzing (main building pictured) influenced the relation of chancellor Willy Brandt to the German Democratic Republic?
Readers will (hopefully) be surprised that German Democratic Republic is only a redirect. No link to East Germany under my name, please, - it never was a country's name. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:19, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
Gerda Arendt Your additions look good. I went ahead and made some minor copy edits. I just have a follow-up question. Can you provide a little information about how the speech changed the relationship between Bahr and the GDR? Or, the two parts of Germany, if that's better? (e.g., it was a broadcast that was positively received by the citizens? resulted in specific actions that were well-received? other?) Otherwise, I think it's good to go.--CaroleHenson (talk) 16:22, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
I added a link to Ostpolitik, but don't think it's good for this article to copy/paraphrase from there. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:32, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
ALT2: ... that a speech by Egon Bahr at the Evangelische Akademie Tutzing (main building pictured) influenced the relation of chancellor Willy Brandt to the German Democratic Republic when it resulted in the Ostpolitik?
Does this look ok?--CaroleHenson (talk) 17:05, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
Sorry, I think there's a little flaw in the logic, because the influence came before the result. Simpler, - better wording welcome:
ALT3: ... that a speech by Egon Bahr at the Evangelische Akademie Tutzing (main building pictured) influenced the relation of chancellor Willy Brandt to the German Democratic Republic, shaping the Ostpolitik?
ALT4: ... that a speech by Egon Bahr at the Evangelische Akademie Tutzing (main building pictured) influenced the Ostpolitik of chancellor Willy Brandt towards the German Democratic Republic? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:44, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
I like #4.--CaroleHenson (talk) 18:54, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
You could approve just that one, or leave the prep builder a choice, striking what you don't support, as I do for ALT2.

Ok, good. I marked it "passed" and the prep builder can choose which one they like best.--CaroleHenson (talk) 20:39, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
