I have added a picture for the India-geo-stub based on the wheel of destiny from the Indian flag. I have deliberately avoided using a map for a reason - that reason being Kashmir. Any map containing (or not containing) Kashmir is bound to cause controversy, and any indication on a Wikipedia miniature map indicating whether the region is or is not part of India automatically calls NOPV status into question. Furthermore, maps get messy - either you have to use a map from an atlas, which becomes a muddy jumble due to miniaturisation, or you have to choos a neutral colour for the map, again for NPOV reasons. Grutness|hello?
I thought that the map was NPOV. Any way, in order to avoid any potential controversy, I'll revert that. -- Sundar 06:52, Jan 20, 2005 (UTC)
Thanks - though I agree with you that a better picture should be found. Consider this one temporary! Grutness|hello?
I would prefer to see another image instead of the emblem. The emblem has nothing to do with geography, and would me more suited for a government topic stub. Nichalp 09:54, Jan 21, 2005 (UTC)
Sigh. Well, feel free to think of something better and change it. Using the Asokan column was an idea that came out of discussions between myself and Sundar. Seems it's difficult to please everyone :) Grutness|hello? 10:27, 21 Jan 2005 (UTC)
I have added this stub template to 3-4 cities and am wondering if it is correct. I have seen place and city stub categories for some countries. Dalf | Talk03:57, 18 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
For the most part city stubs only exist when there is a WikiProject directly associated with those cities. In the case of the vast majority of countries, cities simply get the country-geo-stub. Not that some indian states now have separate geo-stubs, so if you know which state a city is in, and that state has a geo-stub, please use that instead. Grutness...wha?13:52, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
