I question the need for this template. "Landmark" is an inherenetly POV term. - SimonP 06:10, Dec 29, 2004 (UTC)
I never understood why there was any opposition to this template. I created it modelled on the template for Atlanta landmarks and I think it should be expanded to other cities. J2rome 06:27, 19 July 2005 (UTC)
I have added these two articles into the template, but DoubleBlue had deleted them. These places are landmarks because they are indeed unique, since they are museums featuring footwear and ceramics respectively. If Atlanta's World of Coca-Cola for example is a landmark, then Bata Shoe Museum would definitely be a landmark. DoubleBlue, explain how some places, such as Robarts Library, Honest Ed's, or Sam the Record Man, are landmarks. If Robarts Library is a landmark, then the Toronto Reference Library would definitely be a landmark. If the Toronto Islands are a landmark, why are the Scarborough Bluffs not a landmark, since the sediment from these bluffs created these islands, or Leslie Street Spit? If the Royal Alexandra Theatre is a landmark, why are the Poor Alex Theatre or the Bloor Cinema not landmarks? If Nathan Phillips Square is a landmark, why not Mel Lastman Square? If San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge, London's Tower Bridge, Sydney's Harbour Bridge and New York City's Brooklyn Bridge are all landmarks, how about the Prince Edward Viaduct, the Leaside Bridge, or the Hogg's Hollow Bridge? How are parks landmarks? If they are not landmarks, then remove them. Johnny Au (talk) 21:27, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
According to the Dutch language Wikipedia, those are two of our landmarks.

Um.. Is Scarborough Town Centre really a landmark? No, I really don't think so. It sure is a local attraction, but when someone visits Toronto, Scarborough Town Centre usually isn;t on the top of their list... I'm removing it, but if you really think it's an attraction, add it back. Gambolling (talk) 03:30, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
How would people feel about splitting this table into several more manageable ones? It has become quite big and unwieldily. - Epson291 (talk) 20:44, 25 July 2014 (UTC)
