Hi. Can you please slow down with PROD nominations, or at least spread them out across multiple days? Each PROD has to be manually reviewed, so having these additional ~50 expiring all at once is less than ideal. Also note that reliable external links count as sources for WP:BLPPROD as outlined at that page, so articles like Mubarak Ata Mubarak should not be tagged as such. Hello, Chidgk1,
It is not helpful to start a lot of AFD discussions and use a cookie-cutter deletion rationale, I did a search and it does not seem to be notable
, that doesn't demonstrate that WP:BEFORE has been done. You can't expect discussion participants to do more work than you spent evaluating articles and assessing their sourcing. I could rightfully close these all as Procedural closes because it looks like you just copied and pasted the same deletion rationale on a lot of AFDs you started without putting any effort into the process at all. What sources came up in your search? Is there a possible ATD? Provide more useful information here.
You need to read WP:BEFORE and go through all of the checks for every single article you are considering nominating and write a specific deletion rationale that relates to that particular article. No one is getting brownie points for the most articles deleted so take your time and do the nomination process carefully and thoughtfully. Sound good? Liz Read! Talk! 06:40, 31 August 2024 (UTC)

On 12 September 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Vadym Sukharevsky, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Badger is the first commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Vadym Sukharevsky. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Vadym Sukharevsky), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Hello, Chidgk1,
If you weren't aware, the notability guideline for geographic locations is WP:GEOLAND. So, populated locations without a lot of supporting sources can still be considered notable. Liz Read! Talk! 18:20, 18 September 2024 (UTC)

I have removed the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
tag from Acıbadem Üniversitesi S.K., which you proposed for deletion. You listed the reason that the article was not notable as that the stadium in which the team plays has to few seats to be notable. This shows a lack of understanding for Wikipedia's notability guidelines and the proposed deletion process.
I appreciate your effots to clear the backlog of unsourced and non-notable articles (I, myself, nominate such articles for deletion) but a wp:BEFORE must be completed before deleting articles. A quick search revealed numerous sources which could potentially establish notablility. Additionally, the Turkish version of the article cites many sources. Therefore, the apropraite enu for deleting this article should be wp:AfD rather than PROD. If you still think this article should be deleted, please do not add {{proposed deletion}}
back to the page. Instead, feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks!

Hello Chidgk1. I recently started watching Wikipedia:WikiProject Turkey/Article alerts. You seem to be making a high number of AfDs. Most recent AfDs seem to be from you actually.
Given the Eurocentric bias in English-language Wikipedia (also see: Signpost Are Wikipedia articles representative of Western or world knowledge? ), I am concerned that you are contributing to that.
There are very few Turkish speakers on English-language Wikipedia, and you are much more active than most of them. I'd recommend more time to be given for sources to be found. You also don't seem to try to find sources yourself, for example: Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Orduspor_(women's_basketball). If you are very interested in AfDs in Turkey-related topics, but you don't speak Turkish, you can also try google translate? Bogazicili (talk) 12:55, 7 January 2025 (UTC)

Hi,
Over the past several months I have noticed you consistently nominate many Turkish railway articles for deletion. It seems your rationale is that they are unsourced, therefore I believe it would be more productive if instead you would bring them the attention of the community instead of nominating them for deletion right away. May I ask why you are doing this? Cheers. (Central Data Bank (talk) 18:18, 22 January 2025 (UTC))

Hi! I just wanted to respond about your Help desk question, which got archived off the desk. If I'm understanding things correctly from reading over the Phabricator discussions, you can save default alt text for a media file on Commons (which is what you did), but, Mediawiki (the software behind Wikipedia and all its sister projects) doesn't do anything with it currently. The software has yet to be extended to pull alt text from an "external" source such as Commons.
Unfortunately, at present you'll have to copy-and-paste the alt text over onto English Wikipedia. This could be semi-automated with a userscript, though I'm not aware of one existing; you could dig into it or ask at the tech village pump if interested. I hope that helps clarify things. Thank you for contributing to the projects, and if you have any other questions ask away, or feel free to drop by my talk page in the future! --Slowking Man (talk) 22:52, 26 January 2025 (UTC)
The ping seems to have failed, I've seen it once I checked whether the discussion was closed. İzmir–Afyon railway is a main line, thus fullfills the third point on WP:RAILOUTCOMES. But there isn't really a well-established guideline about the stations. I personally do consider any stations on the major suburban networks or metro systems as inherently notable, but really hard to get past behind trivial coverage on the Net, especially on a non-English speaking country. There are few written books on such topics as well, so articles have to rely on non-secondary sources such as forums, blogs, wikis. It still fulfills the WP:GNG and avoiding article creep IMHO.
I felt like I'd write all that down because I've seen other noms, and didn't want to bother with answering these too; yet my reply on Egekent 2 was also vague as well, at least when I read it now&then. I have expected others to take part, but well. Maybe taking a third opinion on the subject would be nice. Regards & have a nice day,
Edit: There also might be some non-trivial but hard-to-cite or omitted stuff on the subject. I was reminded of that after looking at Ayrılık Çeşmesi railway station—I know the station gets frequent coverage as people prefer the station for suicide owing to its name. However the news about suicides are often censored, and thus I don't see a way for citing without original research/self-publishing a primary source, which would violate impartiality and unethical as well. ahmetlii ✉ (Please ping me on a reply!) 22:59, 28 January 2025 (UTC)
