Regarding your edit in Ronn Torossian, it might be semantics, but in both cases, Torossian isn't accused of a crime, at least in the felonies and misdemeanors sense. In one, it's actually in response to Torossian suing his former HR director, not the other way around - though the stuff that's come out of it is pretty sordid so I understand why you wouldn't want to include it in the article. In the other, his attorney acknowledges the libel suit and based on what's in the source article, he appears to have admitted to sockpuppetry (which, incidentally, fits in with tactics employed by his firm in the Agriprocessors scandal and here on Wikipedia). This is a note to let the main editors of Ipswich Town F.C. know that the article will be appearing as today's featured article on May 1, 2014. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. If you prefer that the article appear as TFA on a different date, or not at present, please ask Bencherlite (talk · contribs). You can view the TFA blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/May 1, 2014. If it needs tweaking, or if it needs rewording to match improvements to the article between now and its main page appearance, please edit it, following the instructions at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests/instructions. The blurb as it stands now is below:
Ipswich Town Football Club are an English professional football team based in Ipswich, Suffolk. As of the 2013–14 season, they play in the Football League Championship, having last appeared in the Premier League in 2001–02, making them the league's longest-serving club. The club was founded in 1878 but did not turn professional until 1936, joining the Football League in 1938. They play their home games at Portman Road in Ipswich. The only fully professional football club in Suffolk, they have a long-standing and fierce rivalry with Norwich City in Norfolk, with whom they have contested the East Anglian derby 138 times since 1902. Ipswich won the English league title in 1961–62, and have twice finished runners-up. They won the FA Cup in 1977–78, and the UEFA Cup in 1980–81. They have competed in the top two tiers of English football uninterrupted since 1957–58, currently the longest streak among Championship clubs. They have competed in all three European club competitions, and have never lost at home in European competition. Former managers include Alf Ramsey (statue at Portman Road pictured) and Bobby Robson, both of whom later managed the England national team. (Full article...)
You (and your talk-page stalkers) may also be interested to hear that there have been some changes at the TFA requests page recently. Nominators no longer need to calculate how many "points" an article has, the instructions have been simplified, and there's a new nomination system using templates based on those used for DYK suggestions. Please consider nominating another article, or commenting on an existing nomination, and leaving some feedback on your experience. Thank you. UcuchaBot (talk) 23:02, 8 April 2014 (UTC)

I think another step that we can take with this list is to put some of the older ones up for FAR. I left comments on the talk page of Central Coast Mariners FC last year, and as many of them are still unaddressed, I've started an FAR for it today. Do you think you might like to do the same for one (or more) that you've looked at in the past? BencherliteTalk 19:53, 27 May 2014 (UTC)

Hello - today (10th) he put the tag back on with justification on the article, and is calling for no "Israeli" sources for editing. This was the edit summary when he restored the tag - which one editor removed - and he put back on - and now I [an English Protestant living in America, hardly a Jew) have removed: "Ezzex (talk | contribs) . . Dear Dweller,
I am cross-posting this message to many places to make sure everyone who is a Wikimedia Foundation project bureaucrat receives a copy. If you are a bureaucrat on more than one wiki, you will receive this message on each wiki where you are a bureaucrat.
As you may have seen, work to perform the Wikimedia cluster-wide single-user login finalisation (SUL finalisation) is taking place. This may potentially effect your work as a local bureaucrat, so please read this message carefully.
Why is this happening? As currently stated at the global rename policy, a global account is a name linked to a single user across all Wikimedia wikis, with local accounts unified into a global collection. Previously, the only way to rename a unified user was to individually rename every local account. This was an extremely difficult and time-consuming task, both for stewards and for the users who had to initiate discussions with local bureaucrats (who perform local renames to date) on every wiki with available bureaucrats. The process took a very long time, since it's difficult to coordinate crosswiki renames among the projects and bureaucrats involved in individual projects.
The SUL finalisation will be taking place in stages, and one of the first stages will be to turn off Special:RenameUser locally. This needs to be done as soon as possible, on advice and input from Stewards and engineers for the project, so that no more accounts that are unified globally are broken by a local rename to usurp the global account name. Once this is done, the process of global name unification can begin. The date that has been chosen to turn off local renaming and shift over to entirely global renaming is 15 September 2014, or three weeks time from now. In place of local renames is a new tool, hosted on Meta, that allows for global renames on all wikis where the name is not registered will be deployed.
Your help is greatly needed during this process and going forward in the future if, as a bureaucrat, renaming users is something that you do or have an interest in participating in. The Wikimedia Stewards have set up, and are in charge of, a new community usergroup on Meta in order to share knowledge and work together on renaming accounts globally, called Global renamers. Stewards are in the process of creating documentation to help global renamers to get used to and learn more about global accounts and tools and Meta in general as well as the application format. As transparency is a valuable thing in our movement, the Stewards would like to have at least a brief public application period. If you are an experienced renamer as a local bureaucrat, the process of becoming a part of this group could take as little as 24 hours to complete. You, as a bureaucrat, should be able to apply for the global renamer right on Meta by the requests for global permissions page on 1 September, a week from now.
In the meantime please update your local page where users request renames to reflect this move to global renaming, and if there is a rename request and the user has edited more than one wiki with the name, please send them to the request page for a global rename.
Stewards greatly appreciate the trust local communities have in you and want to make this transition as easy as possible so that the two groups can start working together to ensure everyone has a unique login identity across Wikimedia projects. Completing this project will allow for long-desired universal tools like a global watchlist, global notifications and many, many more features to make work easier.
If you have any questions, comments or concerns about the SUL finalisation, read over the Help:Unified login page on Meta and leave a note on the talk page there, or on the talk page for global renamers. You can also contact me on my talk page on meta if you would like. I'm working as a bridge between Wikimedia Foundation Engineering and Product Development, Wikimedia Stewards, and you to assure that SUL finalisation goes as smoothly as possible; this is a community-driven process and I encourage you to work with the Stewards for our communities.
Thank you for your time. -- Keegan (WMF) talk 18:24, 25 August 2014 (UTC)

Hi Dweller. Thank you very much for your concern: it's rather fun that I'm now the target of this activity instead of being thought of as a supporter or even the origin of it! I'm pretty robust about all of these things and would probably rather see – and sometimes answer – these kinds of comments; though I may change my mind if it becomes a deluge of daftness. My view is that it's generally better, and maybe more in the spirit of WP, to have these things in the open than to suppress them without seeing them. So I'm mostly pretty happy to leave my talkpage unprotected and to revert or answer these trivial interruptions myself (or have them reverted or taken onwards by sensible and friendly people such as yourself). But I do very much appreciate your intervention. Johnlp (talk) 13:29, 19 September 2014 (UTC)
