Hi 1432423132A! I noticed your contributions to Katie Ledecky and wanted to welcome you to the Wikipedia community. I hope you like it here and decide to stay.
As you get started, you may find this short tutorial helpful:
Thanks for catching the later problematic edit on Katie Ledecky and your other recent edits. You may want to read Help:Notifications (sadly it's wrong) about how to ping (some places refer it as "echo" since that was the original name) other editors when you mention them. I'll say for that particular case, most editors would expect a comment like that on their own talk page (so you could have made a new section in User talk:Skynxnex). No worries, of course, since there's a lot to get used to. If that IP makes any more similar edits within the next day or two, you can report them to WP:AIV if you feel comfortable or just notify me.
If you're interested in general about counter vandalism, once you get your legs more (if you need to) around Wikipedia, Wikipedia:Vandalism may be worth reading. Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions. Skynxnex (talk) 14:53, 26 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi 1432423132A! We're so happy you wanted to play to learn, as a friendly and fun way to get into our community and mission. I think these links might be helpful to you as you get started.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. Drmies (talk) 01:33, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, it was Jefferson Davis Highway, an article that I have some interest in--that fake highway runs through my town. If you look at the history, well I see now why I misclicked: your name kind of looks like the IP address of the vandal, and it's in between four of their edits. Again, my apologies! At least now your block log kind of looks cool, haha. Drmies (talk) 12:51, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
