Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
Hello Rahmatula786 -- I've declined this speedy because the article is not unsalvageably promotional, although the tone does need attention. Please re-read the G11 rubric before nominating under this criterion again. If you consider that notability is a problem then I'd suggest Articles for Deletion, so that all the available sources can be examined fully. Thank you for raising concerns about the article on Ram Krishna Bantawa. I firmly believe the article meets the requirements outlined in Wikipedia’s WP:NAUTHOR and WP:SIGCOV guidelines. Below is an explanation supporting this assertion:
Notability as an Author (WP:NAUTHOR):
Ram Krishna Bantawa is a recognized author and lyricist in Nepali literature. He is known for his novel Saghan Tuwanlo (Shrill Mist) and novel Amalai Chithi (Letter to Mother-whose English translation is forthcoming.) His work has made a significant cultural impact, particularly within the Nepali community.
His lyrics and songs are available on platforms such as YouTube.
Saghan Tuwanlo is included in the curriculum of Tribhuvan University, highlighting its academic and cultural significance. His novels address meaningful societal issues such as women’s rights, untouchability, and Sati Pratha (the practice of widow immolation), further emphasizing his contributions to literature and social discourse.
Significant Coverage (WP:SIGCOV):
Independent and reliable media outlets, including Kantipur, Annapurna Post, and various Hong Kong-based Nepali newspapers, have provided coverage of Bantawa’s work. This demonstrates his influence in Nepali literature and music.
He has been featured in interviews and podcasts that delve into his life, literary contributions, and societal impact, providing further evidence of significant independent coverage.
Bantawa has received several awards and certificates from reputable organizations, including:Nepalese Literary Academy Hong Kong , Heavenly Path Hong Kong , Charu Sahitya Pratisthan , Hong Kong Nepalese Federation , Lyricist Association of Nepal
The article references independent and verifiable sources that discuss Ram Krishna Bantawa’s work in detail. Taken collectively, these factors satisfy the standards for inclusion in Wikipedia under WP:NAUTHOR and WP:SIGCOV.
If additional information or sources are required to further support this assertion and enhance the article, I would be happy to assist.
Thank you for your effort to contribute to the article. However, please avoid removing content from the article without first consulting the talk page. There are plenty of discussions on the talk page that might be helpful. Thank you. RationalPuff (talk) 13:23, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, I'm RationalPuff. I noticed that you recently removed content from Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please refrain from editing the article without first discussing your proposed changes on the Wikipedia talk page. Remember, Wikipedia is not a platform for personal viewpoints or how we might prefer things to be presented. Instead, it is a collaborative effort to lay out factual information supported by reliable references.RationalPuff (talk) 20:49, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I am wondering why you are so much particular about this article. I am from Nepal, don’t know him personally, so no question of personal viewpoints. You are from india , u might have personal viewpoints. It’s interesting to see your response for this article. What i have done edit is not blanking, i have mentioned reasons. Rest what u talked , i agree . Rahmatula786 (talk) 05:14, 12 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I’m pretty much on the same page as yours. The guy is a fraudster and a threat to public health. Much I wish would write about him and his fraudulent activities, but we must remember Wikipedia is not a place for personal opinions or perspectives. We can’t exclude or include information just because we agree/disagree. If there are reliable and verifiable sources supporting the content, it must be presented objectively without bias or deliberate omission. Hope makes sense.
Please feel free to suggest in the talk page what changes you are proposing, keeping in mind the points above.
Does it really worth in Nepalese context. Try to Make some useful articles and don’t focus on ministers, it looks like promotion of politicians. You should be aware of condition of country and help here to bring some good stuff . Rahmatula786 (talk) 15:10, 25 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I know u have worked hard to write this draft. But sadly, it’s not in proper direction. Plz create an account and contribute to Wikipedia if ur really interested to bring genuine stuff and contribute to encyclopaedia. Otherwise don’t waste your time neither mine. Rahmatula786 (talk) 15:23, 25 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

for organization like university to meet notability, news article which are published on the news portal can be used for reliable source? LunarFrosty (talk) 05:46, 28 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
re your suggestion for how to improve, you mentioned a need for only relevant information, and neutral sources. I was just hoping for some clarification on which information you thought was irrelevant, and which sources you thought weren’t neutral. The last two reviewers both homed in on the section that I completely removed from this last submission as being the area which was problematic, so I took that all out, so it would be really helpful if you could let me know what else you think needs removed?
Re the sources, the current version has Scottish Tv, an academic thesis, an academic conference report, a published biography (not autobiography) of one of the Society members, the BBC, a local history site, The herald newspaper, the Glasgow times newspaper, and a Swedish culture think tank.
The Swedish culture think tank is a speech / an interview, so they wouldn’t count for notability purposes, but I would have thought that the other sources would have done that already? I could cut those two sources out completely too, but it would mean cutting out the entire “when and why did the Society finish its work” section, which, though short, brings the article to a neat close.
Keep key things only. You need to make the article almost 30-40% of it’s size at present. Make introduction short and relevant. Don’t keep unsourced lines or paragraphs. Best wishes. Rahmatula786 (talk) 07:54, 28 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Rahmatula786. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Graded English Medium School, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: There is some issues with tone but not tot he point where deletion is warranted. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 14:27, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The article states that the school was established in someone's home, which suggests that it was written by someone associated with the school, likely for promotional purposes. I understand that this situation involves a conflict of interest (COI), but I am unsure whether it meets the criteria for G11. Could you clarify this for me? I often struggle to differentiate between COI and advertising. If an article is written or commissioned specifically for promotional purposes, how should it be handled? Rahmatula786 (talk) 15:11, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Being founded in somebody's home is a statement of fact and is not an indication of conflict of interest. Apple Inc. was founded in the home of Steve Job's parents. G11 is unambiguous advertising that would need to be fundamentally rewritten ion order to be an encyclopedia article. All I see at Gyanjyoti Higher Secondary School are statements of fact. Even if there is a conflict of interest, that does not automatically mean the text is promotional. If I founded the company PishPoshCo and wrote "PishPoshCo is a retailer established in 2011 selling small appliances and electronics goods. The company was founded with one store in Springfield, and expanded to a chain of 212 stores by the end of 2024.", that would not be advertising. On the other hand "PishPoshco is the leading retailer of small appliances electronics goods. You can go to any store to find the best deals!" would be. -- Whpq (talk) 16:54, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Many thanks for reply and addressing my concerns about it. Thank for your time. Now I understand it better and hope that my next steps will be more thoughtful as per your guidance. 🙏 Rahmatula786 (talk) 17:28, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
My advice would be to completely ignore COI for tagging G11. The editors' motivations in writing are not relevant for G11; what is important is whether the text they have written is so promotional that, if one removes every overtly promotional statement, there would be nothing left. That is clearly not the case for Gyanjyoti Higher Secondary School. Regards, Espresso Addict (talk) 17:01, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
After reviewing your request, I have added your account to the rollback group for a trial period of three months. Feel free to ask for permanent rollback after the three months, either on my talk page or at WP:PERM/R. Keep in mind these things when using rollback:
Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
Users should be informed (or warned) after their edits have been reverted. If warnings repeatedly don't help, WP:ANI is the default place to go. In cases of very clear ongoing intentional damage to the encyclopedia, WP:AIV can be used.
Reverting someone's edits may confuse or upset them. Whenever other users message you on your talk page, please take the time to respond to their concerns; accountability is important. For most users who message you, the tone and quality of your answer will permanently influence their opinion about Wikipedia in general.
Because the plain default rollback link does not provide any explanatory edit summary, it must not be used to revert good faith contributions, even if these contributions are disruptive. Take the time to write a proper summary whenever you're dealing with a lack of neutrality or verifiability; a short explanation like "[[WP:NPOV|not neutral]]" or "[[WP:INTREF|Please provide a citation]]" is helpful.
Rollback may never be used to edit war, which you'll notice to be surprisingly tempting in genuine content disputes. Please especially keep the three-revert rule in mind. If you see others edit warring, please file a report at WP:ANEW. The most helpful essay I've ever seen is WP:DISCFAIL; it is especially important for those who review content regularly.
If you encounter private information or threats of physical harm during your patrols, please quickly use Special:EmailUser/Oversight or Special:EmailUser/Emergency; ideally bookmark these pages now. See WP:OS and WP:EMERGENCY for details. If you're regularly patrolling recent changes, you will need both contacts sooner or later, and you'll be happy about the bookmarks.
To try rollback for the first time, you may like to make an edit to WP:Sandbox, and another one, and another one, and then revert the row with one click. I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about rollback. Thank you for your time and work in cleaning up Wikipedia. Happy editing!
