Hi - On the page about Robert F. Scott:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Falcon_Scott
...someone has changed his middle name to 'shacklton' <sic> on the bio on the left hand side. I can't find how to edit this. Scott's middle name was Falcon.

I'm not usually one to pursue rivalries after they've run their course, but considering our history, Methecooldude, you are an exception. When you closed down my topic on the An/I noticeboard (without my approval, I'd like to add), you said you'd apologise if I could give you an example of where you'd been unprofessional or uncivil. Well here it is my friend, caught red handed - you called me 'sad'. Boomage (talk) 22:28, 22 March 2013 (UTC)
In what way is this a personal attack? I have a very valid point which you still haven't addressed. After all, you did call me 'sad'. And with regards to the An/I noticeboard, it is MY topic in the sense that it relates to me, and I feel that it was closed prematurely as there were still many unresolved issues, the most pressing of which I have outlined above. Boomage (talk) 22:53, 22 March 2013 (UTC)
Maybe I have an idea. (I usually have bad ones, so I don't know if you will consider it.) I am sorry if I am butting in, but I just got back from a short hibernation deal called sleep. *Yawn.* Anyway, here is my suggestion. 1.) Calm down a bit, you two seem to have been tense with each other. Personal attacks, debates, and "pursuing rivalries" are not what Wikipedia is about. 2.) Cluebot NG is a very important bot to maintaining Wikipedia. However, Cluebot NG is also just a bot, and cannot (sometimes) tell a good edit from a bad one as well as a human. Oops, cut short, bye!--DPandaOPande (talk) 00:15, 26 March 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for the intervention, but this is strictly between me and methecooldude, relating to the unfinished business outlined above which remains unanswered (this in itself speaks 1000 words). Boomage (talk) 23:14, 26 March 2013 (UTC)
I spent 30 minutes typing up a good way to end this, but a stupid edit conflict with Edwards Bot deleted it. Let me sum it up in a couple words while I'm a little upset:
ClueBot reduces vandalism on Wikipedia dramatically, so banning it is not the best way to go. However, ClueBot makes several mistakes and often seems to hate a lot of users. I think ClueBots' extreme senstitivity is a little counter-productive, causing some users to get pissed off and leave Wikipedia or spend their time arguing instead of adding to the encyclopedia (but they can't, ClueBot hates them). A C++ spanking would do. (better programming/testing/more testers?) I'm good now. MgWd (talk) 02:24, 29 March 2013 (UTC)MgWd
What do you mean by A C++ spanking? scrapping this automated piece of rubbish is the best way. I think 'several mistakes' is an understatement. The amount of cock-ups this piece of rubbish makes is A LOT and I am sick of it. I am not campaigning for better programming, I am campaigning to scrap ClueBot NG all together and save Wikipedia. Da panda of pandemonium suggested blocking certain pages. That is a good start and hopefully we can build from that in to the eventual scrapping of ClueBot NG. I can assure you Meltingwood scrapping ClueBot Ng is the best way to go. Boomage (talk) 15:11, 2 April 2013 (UTC)
Hi! I was wondering if I could be added to the CBNG project on Labs so I could do things like restart the bot when it goes down. (Of course, I wouldn't touch anything I don't know how to operate!) Thanks! Enterprisey (talk!) 21:10, 4 September 2016 (UTC)
