Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:34, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
The article James Hanson (rugby union) has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Rettetast (talk) 10:26, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for your recent edits to Arthur Gould (rugby player), any work on this (IMO) fascinating character of rugby is very much appreciated. FruitMonkey (talk) 22:02, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
Stub articles are what they say, but-ends. They tell you the minimum, 'this person did that, from then until then'. Blair Swanell (for which I love the new infobox image) for example, is not a stub. It is probably a B class article, if not a 'Good' status article. He is a minor figure in sporting history, who is notable for nothing other than playing international rugby when international rugby was a minor sport. Therefore I think we have covered his life fairly well, and there are probably no books out there that cover his life in more detail than Wikipedia does. Therefore that is a good article, we have achieved the best we can. Take St Peulan's Church, Llanbeulan, which has recently been awarded GA status. It doesn't need to be Arthur Gould detail to hit the peaks. FruitMonkey (talk) 23:36, 18 July 2010 (UTC)

Please don't put empty blp parameters in WikiProjectBannerShell. |blp=
must be set or not exist. Thanks, Magioladitis (talk) 18:42, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
Better use {{WikiProjectBannerShell|1=. At the moment you introduce double | in the template. Thanks and happy editing! -- Magioladitis (talk) 19:16, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

The article Frank Row has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}

The Rugby Union Barnstar | ||
For your valid and insightful contributions to rugby union articles combined with your ability to argue a point in a civil and logical manner. Keep up the good work. FruitMonkey (talk) 22:42, 12 August 2010 (UTC) |
I'm a big fan of Rugby Relics and trust their work, but I'm not sure if it would be seen as a valid source. It makes sense, and we can still use the statement about him being a self promoter, as we don't know what he got up to in Urugauy, just his word. I think we should add it and reference it, and let others decide on its validity. Also, Moran in his book 'Viewless Winds' really does a hatchet job on Swannell, but I would like to either read the passage myself or at least have a page number to go by, and of course I don't own a copy.
Brilliant info you keep finding by the way. FruitMonkey (talk) 20:11, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
I am aware of your work on the article, as it is one of my watched articles (having started it). I've put a few man hours into the article in the past, mainly through creating the British players on that tour. If you keep up the input you have entered so far, you could have another GA article on your hands soon. I've got another GA article on the hop at the moment (Norman Biggs), and I'm expecting Wales and David Watts Morgan to come to the boil soon so they will be taking my attention, but I would love to help out on the 1899 tour too. Of the characters on the 1899 tour captain Matthew Mullineux has to be one of my favourites. FruitMonkey (talk) 21:46, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
I understand your concerns but this is an agreed concept across all wikisport projects. Have a look at football, they do the same, and its mentioned in their onfobox profiles too. Even Scrum.com uses the same system. The problem with only using it after a long period of time, is ...what is a long period of time. This can differ to a massive degree between sports, also we may then need to do it for clubs, after a long injury or just falling out of favour with the manager. The same reasons often keep a player our of a national team. FruitMonkey (talk) 17:42, 14 September 2010 (UTC)
I think it may be worth mentioning in the 1899 tour that the history books have incorrectly listed Martelli as a Dublin University player, when it is in all probability that he was a Dublin Wanderers player. FruitMonkey (talk) 21:51, 14 September 2010 (UTC)
Hi SauliH. I was wondering how you were going on the above article. I would like to have a pretty decent article about this topic up by September as I am thinking the traffic might increase. How are you going on the sandboxed version? If you are too busy I can continue with it. AIRcorn (talk) 12:38, 20 August 2011 (UTC)

Hi, in case you're not already aware of it, a group of Adelaide Wikipedians has been meeting on a monthly basis since April, with the aim of improving the scope and quality of articles on South Australian topics. We meet at UniSA's City West campus, and our 23 July meeting will have a guest speaker from the National Trust of SA.
This coming Sunday, 6 July, we will be holding our first Edit-a-thon. This will be an opportunity for new editors to come and learn either basic or more advanced editing from very experienced wikipedians, so if you know anyone who would like to get some practice, please let them know - and beginners will be very welcome. Cheers, Bahudhara (talk) 06:28, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
