Today's story is about a photographer who took iconic pictures, especially View from Williamsburg, Brooklyn, on Manhattan, 9/11, yesterday's was a great mezzo, and on Thursday we watched a sublime ballerina. If that's not enough my talk offers chamber music from two amazing concerts. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:50, 20 July 2024 (UTC)
Wikipedia:Main Page history/2024 July 30b will have a baritone, a violinist, a composer and a Bach cantata, - almost too much, and the composer's article, Wolfgang Rihm, should be better, help wanted. - Plenty of music on my parents anniversary day ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:01, 30 July 2024 (UTC)

Hi Ser Amantio di Nicolao,
Yesterday I tried to update Aimée de Jongh's Wikipedia page with her latest comprehensive career and bio information. And also with a more recent, professional press photo. Unfortunately, due to a conflict of interest, the update was rejected.
If I send the text to you, would you be willing to review it and update your version of the page? The information I gathered came from a reliable source, the artist's own website https://www.aimeedejongh.com.
Thank you. BBruyn (talk) 12:50, 2 August 2024 (UTC)

Today I have two "musicians" on the Main page, one is also the topic of my story, watch and listen, - I like today's especially because you see him at work, hear him talk about his work and the result of his work - rare! -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:19, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
... and a third, like 22 July but with interview and the music to be played today --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:41, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
On 13 August, Bach's cantata was 300 years old, and the image one. The cantata is an extrordinary piece, using the chorale's text and famous melody more than others in the cycle. It's nice to have not only a recent death, but also this "birthday" on the Main page. And a rainbow in my places. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:00, 13 August 2024 (UTC)
Help? My story today is about a woman, nominated for RD but needing support as I write this. A composer died whose article is long and mostly unreferenced. And some articles open for review, always. - How are you? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:03, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
Hi -- what’s the rationale for believing Tamanend was not a native American leader?

The article Bordes d'Envalira has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
'Bordes d'Envalira' is not a village in Andorra. This is supported by local knowledge and the website of the Government of Andorra. Bordes d'Envalira is an unofficial collection of buildings which are part of the Grandvalira ski resort and thus does not suit Wikipedia's notability guidelines (as even Grandvalira does not have an English article). Furthermore, the only reference in this article, positioned as if to support the idea of Bordes d'Envalira being a village, actually contradicts the article. The reference is from an autobiography which describes the area as solely being a mountain pass on the border of France, rather than a village in Central Andorra as suggested by this article.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
Also:
This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 17 August 2024 (UTC)

Thanks for help you've provided maintaining my wikipedia page. It has some troll-like errors at the moment.
"Her magnum opus in the public eye was her solo song, "4 Her D", appearing in the world-renowned K-Pop group, B1llUSTRATION's debut album as a Target-exclusive bonus track."
I was wondering if you'd be able to clear those up for me.
Many thanks in advance! -- Marisa Williamson 98.124.203.2 (talk) 15:33, 21 August 2024 (UTC)

Three stories related to today in memory, 11 September, 20 July and 20 June, the latter piece of art also pictured on the Main page. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:48, 11 September 2024 (UTC)
Today is Schoenberg's 150th birthday! On display, portrayed by Egon Schiele, with music from Moses und Aron, and with two DYK hooks, one from 2010 and another from 2014; the latter, about his 40th birthday, appeared on his 140th birthday, which made me happy then and now again. - See places for a stunning sunrise, on the day Bruckner's 200th birthday was celebrated (just a few days late). --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:31, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
My story today features a pic I took from my position in the choir, I can also offer varied delightful music, some from Venice, also with pics I took, - note the rose in the clarinet ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:26, 25 September 2024 (UTC)

For many years, I've wanted to thank you for your careful vigilance of my Wikipedia page (Dawn Eden Goldstein). I'm honored that you took an interest in it. All your edits have been first-rate.
If I might be so bold as to request your intervention on a page about someone dear to my heart, I'd love to see someone update the page for Father Edward Dowling, S.J., using information from my biography of him, Father Ed: The Story of Bill W.'s Spiritual Sponsor (Orbis Books, 2022). David Crumm, writing about Father Ed for Read the Spirit, noted several errors on Dowling's Wikipedia page, which I believe have yet to be corrected--see https://readthespirit.com/explore/dawn-eden-goldsteins-father-ed-lifts-up-the-saint-who-befriended-bill-w-and-helped-to-spread-the-good-news-about-alcoholics-anonymous/. As Crumm notes, my book also contains information that would be of interest for the Wikipedia page on Edwin A. Lahey.
I don't know what Wikipedia's rules are with regard to whether you are permitted to receive promotional materials from subjects of pages, but if it's permitted, I'd be delighted to have a copy of Father Ed sent to you or to someone who can pass it on to you. My email address can be found on my Dawn Patrol blog. In any case, you have my continued gratitude. Dedengoldstein (talk) 01:40, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
I've noticed some semi-automated category edits from this account. I guess some categories were changed or something and they were being updated on articles. The problem I'm seeing is that the old/obsolete categories shouldn't have been on the article in the first place. Any chance that you can check that the categories actually apply to the article while updating them? – Reidgreg (talk) 05:06, 23 September 2024 (UTC)

You may remember Maryvonne Le Dizès, my story today as on 28 August. Some September music was unusual: last compositions and eternal light, with Ligeti mentioned in story and music. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:59, 3 October 2024 (UTC)

This unsigned pirate 2a02:c7e:5e7d:e00:a921:9096:3c65:7de8 has been putting dead information on the page Arthur and the Minimoys. He/she thinks that the Weinstein cut is "still available on DVD" just because a copy of it was found in a charity shop. Look, the Weinstein cut has not been renewed on any format due to the closure of The Weinstein Company following the arrest of Harvey Weinstein in 2018. They’re all out of print as they were dated in 2007, 11 years prior as American distributors bought rights to the original uncut version in 2023. A month ago, an another unsigned pirate, could have been the same one, inserted the link to its former version that’s not even accessible anymore, which he/she thinks it is. Could you please find an admin and put an end to this fairytale editing? Thank you. Retrosunshine2006 talk 03:28, 7 October 2024 (UTC)
Hey there, just letting you know I generally haven't been paying too much attention to the surge of category changes you've been making, but it raised my eyebrows when I saw that you'd categorized Jaws 2 as an adventure film. It's not described as such in the lead, nor do I think most if any sources would categorize it as such. I've reverted that and a handful of other changes. I'm not sure whether that was intentional on your part or not, but you might want to slow down a little. DonIago (talk) 13:35, 7 October 2024 (UTC)
