Don't understand reliable sources

[edit]

Hi Toadette,

Please could we discuss the reliable sources I need for my article?

Perhaps if I explain the history, you would understand my issues.

Thanks! AMumFriend. AMumFriend (talk) 12:36, 21 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@AMumFriend, which article are you referring to? ToadetteEdit (talk) 16:27, 21 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I don't get how the ones I used aren't reliable:

Thanks AMumFriend (talk) 18:58, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@AMumFriend, all the sources don't mention the subject or only have brief mentions. I suggest finding sources that are reliable and independent to fulfill the general notability guidelines. ToadetteEdit (talk) 08:50, 30 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Regraab on Ida Van Smith (01:25, 30 September 2024)

[edit]

I simply added a more exact fact about Ida's teaching career as I worked with her for several years. --Regraab (talk) 01:25, 30 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Regraab, I recommend declaring a conflict of interest on your user page. ToadetteEdit (talk) 09:07, 30 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

How to improve Draft:Olaf Deutschmann

[edit]

Hello

You reviewed my Draft:Olaf Deutschmann. Could you guide me on how to improve it. I have discussed it with members on the Live Help channel, and they suggested it was best to contact you directly. Thank you for your time !

@Trialpedian

Hi @Trialpedian! You can improve by searching for sources that are reliable, and independent (the subject should not be the author of a cited reference). I hope that helps! ToadetteEdit (talk) 18:56, 1 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The previous rejections of the draft were for a similar reason. Before submitting this draft I tried to include all quality references, and after some discussions with other members, I believed the current references were acceptable. All are from official websites of reputed organisations. Is there any specific references which are not up to the mark ? I could try to find alternatives or maybe remove that portion from the article. Thanks ! Trialpedian (talk) 14:51, 2 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I do not know , but if you think that the draft is up to par, you can resubmit it again. ToadetteEdit (talk) 08:40, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
