Our 2016 Art+Feminism editathon at California College of the Arts Simpson Library in San Francisco
Library resource books gathered in preparation for the 2016 Art+Feminism editathon
Art+Feminism is a weekend-long event where people all over the world improve coverage of women and the arts on Wikipedia + encourage female editorship. Last year, over 1500 participants at more than 75 events around the world participated in the second annual Art+Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-thon , resulting in the creation of nearly 400 new pages and significant improvements to 500 articles on Wikipedia.
You are invited to come to this Art+Feminism event in San Francisco, and feel free to bring a friend! We will work together to improve articles on these themes. People with no Wikipedia editing experience are welcome; there will be experienced editors who can help you get started and answer all of your questions.
See List of articles to edit for some example topics, and you can also find your own topics to edit.
Date: Saturday, March 5, 2016
Time: 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm (there will be presentations near the beginning especially for first-time editors, but you can stop by anytime during these hours and leave whenever you like)
