Wikipedia:Meetup/Wellington/Picture This Photography Event

Picture This! Share your photos with the world.
There is a lack of quality New Zealand (and Wellington) imagery on Wikimedia Commons and it’s our mission to change this! If you’re a photographer or photo enthusiast, come and find out how to use Wikimedia Commons to upload your photos and make them available to all.
At Workshop 1 (Saturday 9 March) we will introduce you to the Wiki world. Create an account, learn about Creative Commons and dive into Wikicommons. You will now be ready to shoot!
At Workshop 2 (Saturday 13 April) we will come back to the studio and share our photos with the group. Learn about uploading them to Wikicommons and making them discoverable for everyone to use. There will be a prize for the best contribution.
The workshop will be held Photospace Gallery, 37 Courtenay Place, Wellington, Studio, Level 1

Workshop 2

• 1.00 pm Round robin: update everyone on what you’ve been shooting
• 1.30 pm How to upload to Commons
• 2.15 pm Break-out into groups for uploading

• 4.15 pm Categories and structured data
• 5.00 pm Workshop ends
