This is the result of a poor attempt at disambiguation in 2007. I don't think this is a plausible search term, but it was the title of the article for about a year and a half. -- Tavix (talk) 21:15, 26 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Per the redirects history, seems that this title represented a fan remake of the target subject that never was completed or gained notability. Steel1943 (talk) 16:32, 26 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Trump is not Russian and has no Russian heritage, and the current target is very inappropriate as it seems to suggest Trump himself has connections to Russia. Iffy★Chat -- 14:07, 26 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Marko Jovanovic was reverted to a redirect to a disambiguation page per an AfD, making double redirects that were later fixed. There are no other musician or composer articles listed at the target, so now these redirects no longer make any sense. GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 00:35, 18 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Per the page views of the redirect's current target versus the page views of PS/2 port, as well as the fact that searching "PS/2" on third party search engines returns more results for the port than the IBM computer line (well, and some results for PlayStation 2, but I have never seen the abbreviation for the video game console using a "/"), there really is no primary topic for this redirect. For that reason, I believe this redirect should be retargeted to PS2 (disambiguation) where the rest of the "PS2" variants are listed. Steel1943 (talk) 18:09, 18 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep IBM PS/2 is primary topic. The PS/2 port is based on the IBM PS/2. The hatnote can go to PS2 (disambiguation) if there are other possibilities to settle. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:54, 19 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- @AngusWOOF: This sounds more like a situation where the current target/topic (the computer line) was the original topic, but then its existence led to the creation of a topic that eventually became just as notable (if not more) than its original. This reminds me of the situations that happened with Gouda (the city versus the cheese) and Angus (the region versus the cow breed); the original primary topics, originally at the ambiguous titles, were moved to titles with a comma and their respective disambiguation pages were moved to the base titles due to the notabilities of the cheese and cow breed, respectively. Steel1943 (talk) 23:00, 19 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- PS/2 still refers to just those two items of which one is primary topic, so WP:TWODABS applies. If Sony decided to add slashes to its product and start calling them PS/4 or PS/5, leading to retro-labelling of PS2 as PS/2, then I would see a problem. Is there a third item referred to as PS/2? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 23:08, 19 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- I share these thoughts; in addition to not knowing of a third topic that "officially" uses a slash, I don't see any references showing any abbreviation of any PlayStation console using a "/". However, I wonder ... maybe it may not be an official abbreviation for it, but people (who may or may not be readers of Wikipedia) may use a "/" to locate consoles in the PlayStation line (kind of like a common misspelling.) But, I currently cannot find any way to prove this except for the fact that results for "PlayStation 2" show up on third party engines when searching "PS/2" with the slash. Steel1943 (talk) 23:18, 19 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- It's also a question of whether the PS/2 port is mononymously referred to as "PS/2", which I do not see. It's almost always a PS/2 port or PS/2 connector or PS/2 bus or PS/2 keyboard or PS/2 mouse. The existing hatnotes already cover any generic searches for the Sony product that might have added the slash so they are served as well. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 23:27, 19 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The redirects are not alternative names for the target. That, and this target is not the first Zelda; that claim probably goes to someone with the given name. Steel1943 (talk) 00:35, 26 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Unlikely search terms due to mixed languages used in the redirects. Steel1943 (talk) 00:33, 26 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep all. The Japanese titles for these games use mixed languages, see for instance this JP cover for The Legend of Zelda. Link no Bouken is similarly the Japanese subtitle for Zelda II.--Alexandra IDVtalk 00:54, 26 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep: In my experience, English renderings of Japanese names that use the original English word for loanwords while simply romanizing hiragana is fairly common. As I recall, I created the redirect Link no Bouken because I was going through a list of game titles on which it showed up, and I wanted to easily find out what the game was. There's an even stronger case for The Hyrule Fantasy: Zelda no Densetsu, since the original Japanese actually uses Latin letters to render that title. The Legend of Zelda 2: Rinku no Bōken is a weird mixing of languages, and I have no opinion on that one. --SnorlaxMonster 00:58, 26 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep The Legend of Zelda 2: Rinku no Bōken per Alexandra IDV; actual box artwork (e.g. zh:檔案:Zelda2.jpeg) and in-game title screen had an English main title and a Japanese subtitle (of which this is a correct romanisation).
No opinion on the other two; which are non-standard mixed spellings. "Zelda no Densetsu" (though not the full phrase "The Hyrule Fantasy: Zelda no Densetsu") is somewhat widespread in news articles, but Link no Bouken seems to be used almost exclusively on illegal ROM download websites (one of them had an idiosyncratic habit of spelling wasei-eigo and katakana-ised names in English rather than in standard Japanese romanisation, and I guess all the others copied it). 59.149.124.29 (talk) 10:52, 26 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
