From the editors

Welcome to the eighth Bugle edition of 2016!

A healthy crop of articles were promoted to featured or A-class status last month; special congratulations go to Krishna Chaitanya Velaga and Hammersfan on their first A-class articles!

In our other regular sections, Hawkeye7 and Nick-D look at two publications in our book review section this month, one on the unsung contributions of Africans, African Americans, Indians and Chinese in World War I, and the other on British nuclear tests at Maralinga in Australia; TomStar81 continues his contributions marking the centenary of World War I in our op-ed and timeline sections.

In other news, elections for the XVI Coordinator Tranche concluded on 29 September. Veteran AustralianRupert was elected our new Lead Coordinator, taking over the position from Sturmvogel_66. Eleven other Coordinators were also elected, including three editors new to the job: Iazyges, Lineagegeek and Zawed. Congratulations to all the new tranche, and thank you to everyone who voted!
