Welcome to WikiProject Webcomics! This is a project for the discussion and improvement of Wikipedia's articles on webcomics (including webtoons and other comics published mainly through the internet). We rely on webcomics enthusiasts worldwide, so if you are interested in participating, please get involved.
This project is dedicated to providing information on internet-based comic strips, or webcomics. The scope of this project may extend to other fields, such as webcomics in print, animation or video games inspired by webcomics, and people related to the webcomic community/industry.
As of April 2020 we have 7 members, plus there are about 29 active editors who listed themselves as members of the previous Webcomics Work Group. You can see a list of participants here.
You can also make a draft and then get a review of the draft before turning it into an article proper. See Wikipedia:Drafts for more details.
If you want a suggestion of an article to write, go to the Requests page and see what people are asking for. As examples, people have asked for articles on the following (with some suggested sources):
All articles related to the project should have a quality rating. See the "Tagging and Assessment" section below for lists of articles by quality. This will help you find articles that are in need of improvement.
If you would like suggestions on what to work on, project members have identified these articles might be important to improve next:
Solo Leveling (2nd-most popular article in the project, but only at Start-quality)
After people have written or improved articles, they can ask for reviews of their work. This page is the place to ask for reviews and find requests to do. Some oustanding requests include:
Recruit other participants. The long-term success of this project depends on adding new editors, not just to grow but to replace people who leave over time. If you know of anyone who might want to join, such as seeing users who are actively editing webcomic articles, please let them know about this project.
We are particularly keen to have more members who are fluent in Korean or Japanese, to help improve several popular articles for webcomics published in those languages.
Any article related to this task force should be marked by adding the project banner, {{WikiProject Webcomics}}, at the top of its talk page. This will automatically place it into appropriate categories, and associated statistics will be updated automatically by User:WP 1.0 bot.
Webcomic sources: A page maintained by this project that provides a list of reliable and unreliable sources in the field of webcomics. If you would like to start a discussion on whether a particular source is reliable, either add it to this page or the project's talk page.
Copyright (important) informs editors which images are appropriate for uploading and use in comics articles and how best to use them.
