Hello. I have found your user-page because you are an administrator who grants rollback privileges. I am performing academic research and I am particularly focused on usage of the rollback feature. I have imported en-wiki dumps into MySQL for analysis, and flag RBs by parsing revision comments for the "automatic comment" left by RB edits.
My question: In February 2009 and the months preceding it, about 200k RBs were being performed a month. Beyond that, usage of the RB feature seems to decline sharply; in September 2009 I show only 1k RBs. Can you help me understand this? Did the automatic revision string change? Did the use of anti-vandalism bots (with their slightly altered RB strings (which I don't try to parse)) become so prevalent that no one does it 'manually' any more?
My current research has found no reason for this 200x change, and I hope you can help. Of course, your help will aid my research -- which in turn will help the Wikipedia community in combating vandalism. West.andrew.g (talk) 16:40, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
CattleGirl,
This is Danielle. I haven't been on in a while so, I' don't know if they changed anything or not.
I have soooooooooo many questions. First off how do make your name change colors like that? At the end of your signinature? HTML. I do a little bit of that on Neopets.
You can check out my Neopets page. Just type in [1]
and scroll until you get to a search bar. Then search danielle_krefft. If you're not already a member and want to join, make sure you put that you were referred by danielle_krefft! :) If you sign up you can have NeoFriends, NeoMail, and NeoBoards! Anyway go ahead and check it out! That's all for now!
PLEASE REPLY ASAP!!! --Charmed and Dangerous, Danielle (talk) 06:36, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
OH WAIT!!! Why is my text in boxes like that? And how do I get it out? P.S. Reply on my talk page. Thanks :) --Charmed and Dangerous, Danielle (talk) 06:36, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
Okay, but where do I start in terms of Article Talk and WP Talk? Also, I already went for an editor review. I wonder if I can still find it?... Two One Six Five Five discuss my greatness 19:17, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
Found it. Wikipedia:Editor_review/21655 Two One Six Five Five τ ʃ 21:53, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
[outdented] Well, I think I have 1000 mainspace edits, I've got a PNG screenshot of the WP:FIVE saved to my disk, and I'm pretty sure I have a couple months of serious editing. Thus...
I, Two One Six Five Five τ ʃ, hereby affirm that I have a pretty good hang of the 'pedia and wish to sever my adoption.
...
What, you think it's all over? HA! I'm not done!
Would you like to be my admin coach? Two One Six Five Five τ ʃ 16:33, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
Merry Christmas, or more precisely, Happy New Year to you too. I got erroneously warned for REVERTING vandalism, which is a bit goofy the way I see it. Also, I proposed a new barnstar. Check it out here: Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_awards. One question though: how do I make custom signatures like yours? Two One Six Five Five (talk) 22:03, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Been around, made edits here and there, requesting new orders... RageSamurai21655 16:36, 20 October 2007 (UTC) PS: I can never seem to remember to uncheck the "Minor edit" checkbox. Maybe if it was unchecked by default or something?
(outdent) I guess the only thing I can really say is to do a lot of it. You have the tools for the job, but remember, one of the reasons the two users you listed are so notable is because they did it, and did it accurately. There's no quantity without quality, after all, but I think you've got that! With the featured articles... hm. I've never edited noe significantly myself, but as you said, a lot of people have. If you want to edit an article to become featured, your best bet would be to choose a good article, have a look at the parts where it failed to become a FA on the criteria sheets (all links are at WP:FA or WP:GA), and then edit mercilessly! If you have more persistence, then perhaps editing an article that's not even a Good Article, and move it up through the ranks. So yes. Really, just pick an article you're interested in, have a look at the WP:FA criteria, and give it a go. And usually there'll be a few other people wanting to edit with you, so it'll be all good. I think that's all... sorry if I missed anything, I'm a bit distracted. You heard of The Red Shore? Sad day for Australian metal. Cheers- CattleGirl talk 08:17, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
Good Evening. I'm Tintin, male, from the Philippines. You know, I've just been recently editing some articles [i.e. the 2006 Pacific typhoon season and a "new aricle", Typhoon Cimaron (2006)]. To be more familiar with the editing and deletion policies here in Wikipedia (I think that you can update me of any editing new policies in Wikipedia), can you please adopt me?
If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, you may please see and put your message in my talk page. Thank you for reading this message. --Pika ten10 11:17, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
Sorry if I couldn't talk with you these days. I've been especially busy of my school requirements, though I've been editing some more articles for grammatical errors or deleting a few nonsense words. Ah, I almost forgot... you can adopt me anytime. As of now, I don't have any questions but I'll approach you immediately if I do have. Thank you for replying, my dear friend...--Pika ten10 (talk) 12:33, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for adopting me... I may ask that can I write nothing to my "Edit Summary" box? You know, I always write a summary about my edits on a page, but that I think it just wastes my time, especially on a talk page. Please, I need your urgent reply... -Pika ten10 11:30, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
Is the Wikipedia Signpost subscription free(i.e. you'll never pay anything)?? You know, I want to subscribe on the signpost! :) -Pika ten10 11:36, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
Why is it important to wikify a page instead of using HTML??? -Pika ten10 (talk) 13:25, 13 December 2007 (UTC) I think people editing Wikipedia must be given freedom on what format to use in an article.
-Pika ten10 (talk) 13:28, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
Thus it will be this: TOPIC FOR DISCUSSION 1

I saw that you recently listed yourself as available to admin coach. I am looking for an instructor. As stated at admin coaching requests, I have been on wiki for a little more than a year. I had about 3,000 edits the last time I checked, and have gotten an article to featured status pretty much on my own. I am more of a wikignome, preferring to stay in the background and work. I'm looking to improve my contributions and maybe one day be an admin. Please let me know if you are available. Thanks. KnightLago 03:01, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

Hi, My name is Dan G. I am 29 yrs. old living in NYC. Over the past couple of years, I have been remembering my dreams vividly. I understand these are called "Lucid dreams." Sometimes when I'm dreaming, I know I'm in a dream and am able to create things to happen in them. It's very weird, since most people I know have never had these things occur to them when dreaming. Alot of the times, I try to fly and walk. Most of the time, however, when dreaming, I'm unable to move, nor speak when I need to. This has been a recurring problem. I don't believe it is sleep paralysis, because that is when I wake up and can't open my eyes or move. The problem I'm facing is stressful because when I try to discuss it with my psychiartrist, she feels I'm crazy. I wanted to ask you if you have any idea of what my problem could be. There have been many times, where I try to stand, or move, but I keep crawling. When I need to say something, I can't because my mouth is paralyzed. If this happens all the time, for the past couple of years, what could this be?? A sign of stress, or maybe something that could lead to more serious problems?? I may be a hypocondriac in this case, but I really feel something is not right. Also, when I am awake, when I move my eyeballs upward, I feel pressure and a windy sound in my head. It feels awkard. Again, no one I know has these problems a nd that concerns me. What is your take on this?? Regards, DG —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.18.196.108 (talk) 15:30, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Your user page seems to 'break the borders' in Firefox and Opera, it looks; but it works fine in IE. Perhaps you could change the code to this: <removed code> The blank space and <BR> has completely been substituted with {{-}} (or {{clear}}, and it renders fine, then.
Also, CattleGirl, about WikiProject P!atD, what's to become of it if the band has change its name to PatD? That, and seeing as I don't have the powers to do so, though I would do it if I could, would you be able to somehow retain the edit history of the original P!atD article and the recent edits to PatD? That would be great, thanks. It looks like some user (or users) manually moved the content. Qwerty (talk) 14:38, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

Hello, Cattle Girl
You probably remember working together on the Romney sheep page. Looking at it recently, I see someone (a human being? a wiki robot?) has asked for citations on certain statements, some of which I wrote and some of which others put in since. Someone has made an astute point in a commentary that in one place the article now says improvement has been entirely from within the breed and in another it says that improvements were made using Bakewell's Leicester. I'd like to e-talk with the people who have worked on the article since you and I did and hammer out these conflicts, place citations or remove unverifiable statements. Unfortunately, I can't remember how to open a discussion with all the people who have contributed since last April. Can you please remind me how to start one, and if possible, explain to me how to directly contact them via a talk page like yours. When I click on user names like "trigger12" I just get a message that there is no user page.
Hope your Romneys are flourishing. We are just beginning lambing.
Thanks a lot,--Sawyer12477 (talk) 00:51, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

I recently added my name to the request for admin coaching page. However, the instruction page said it would also be a good idea to contact potential coaches. I saw your name on the list and in the spirit of being bold, I thought I would ask if you would be interested in being my admin coach. Thanks in advance! Tnxman307 (talk) 13:16, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi,
Im highly interested in admin coaching, as i would like to become an admin in the near future and also to learn about an admins roles, dutys and ethics. Following instuctions on the coaching page it was suggested that I contact an admin who hasnt got any coachees instead of waiting for things to be done for me. I was wondering if you had the time to admin coach me, I look foward to your reply, Cheers Prom3th3an (talk) 08:39, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Dear CattleGirl,
I think it's pretty cool of you to edit Spencer Smith's page and stuff. I'm a huge fan of Panic At The Disco and I like to find out info about them on wikipedia. But when reviewing you page about Spencer I noticed a flaw. Spencer's birth place was previously thought to be Summerlin, Las Vegas like all the other members except for Jon. But recently in an interview I saw that Spencer said his birth place was Denver, CO and that he only lived in Summerlin and grew up there. I got this off of meinlcymbals.com. Just thought you should know.

Hello, I found you on the list of Admins who will grant rollback requests. I am pretty active on WP, editing a ton and I have created several new namespace pages as well, most proudly the entire NFL Expansion Draft series. I fight vandalism when I see it, and occasionally the rollback feature would be useful. I have the power right now really through the installation of Twinkle, but occasionally I use IE instead of Firefox, and Twinkle down not work with IE. Also, I wouldn't mind the vote of confidence. Please see my contributions and also recognize that I have never had any problems with other editors that weren't amicably worked out, no 3RR warnings, etc. I don't constantly vandal-fight, I usually stay in the main article space trying to create and or fix articles, but do at times. Hello!
You may be interested to know that the WikiProject My Chemical Romance has recently been transformed into a task force of WikiProject Emo. Please visit the task force page to see what's new. This move allies the task force with a larger WikiProject that handles much of the administrative overload, thus allowing task force members to focus on the most important activity: article improvement.
The project's membership list has also been moved to the new task force page. If you see that your username is in the "Inactive/former members" section, please do not take offense; this is because you no longer appear to be active on Wikipedia. We may also take the liberty of removing the member userbox from your userpage if it appears there, to prevent you from automatically appearing in Category:My Chemical Romance task force members. Of course you are free to rejoin the task force and re-add the userbox at any time if you would like to become active again.
For active editors, it is our hope that this change will help spur you to improve articles related to My Chemical Romance. You may have noticed that the old My Chemical Romance project userbox on your user page has automatically changed to the new task force userbox. We may take the liberty of fixing the template link on your userpage, to avoid redirects.
Thank you and we hope you will continue to support the My Chemical Romance task force!
You are receiving this message because you have previously identified yourself as a member of WikiProject My Chemical Romance, either because your name appeared on the project's Participants page or because you have placed the project userbox on your user page. As a courtesy, if you have left the project, retired from Wikipedia, or simply no longer wish to be an active member of the task force, please remove the userbox from your user page. This will remove you from Category:My Chemical Romance task force members and help the task force to keep its active membership list up-to-date. |

Hello there, I've been on wikipedia for a long time now, and have thoroughly enjoyed this amazing site, and would like to be able to more easily help counter vandals. I hate seeing a page with vandalism, and mercilessly undo it anyways, but would like to be able to do that a little more easily. Anyways, just wondering if you would consider changing my privileges so that I could do that, I'd like to move up a little on the wikipedia totem pole. Laytonsmith14 (talk) 00:14, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

Hi, CattleGirl. I'm doing a study about Wikipedia (particularly about sysops) for my Masters in Communications and Media Studies at Monash Uni, and was wondering if you would be so kind as to take some time to talk to me. I'm contacting a few editors/sysops in hopes of hearing first-hand accounts of your day-to-day activities are and your relationship with other members of the community. If you're in Melbourne and can spare some time for a friendly talk (no more than 30 minutes), I'd greatly appreciate it :)
Please let me know if you're interested. Cheers, --In continente (talk) 06:33, 17 September 2009 (UTC)
I was looking through the coaches at Wikipedia:Admin_coaching/Status and saw that there are a lot under "reconfirmation".
Could you let me know if you are still interesting in being involved with Admin Coaching, or if you would prefer to have your name removed from the "reconfirmation" list and placed on the "retired" list. If you want to be involved, could you please move your entry from "Reconfirmation" to "Active" and indicate how many students you would be willing to have (obviously, if you are actively coaching at the moment, then please indicate this!)
If I do not hear from you within a week, I will assume that you would like to have your name removed from the list of coaches and moved to the retired list.

Following a community discussion in June 2011, consensus was reached to provisionally suspend the administrative privileges of users who have been inactive for one year, meaning administrators who have made neither any edits nor any logged actions in over one year. As a result of this discussion, your administrative privileges have been removed pending your return. If you wish to have these privileges reinstated, please post to the Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard and the userright will be restored per the re-sysopping process (i.e., as long as the attending bureaucrats are reasonably satisfied that your account has not been compromised and that your inactivity did not have the effect of evading scrutiny of any actions which might have led to sanctions). This removal of access is procedural only, and not intended to reflect negatively upon you in any way. We wish you the best in future endeavors, and thank you for your past administrative efforts. Thanks for uploading File:Romneymarshsheep.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 21:23, 18 March 2012 (UTC)

Hello. You are receiving this message because of a recent change to the administrator policy that alters what you were told at the time of your desysopping. The effect of the change is that you will not longer be able to request restoration of the tools because of your prior inactivity. You have until December 30, 2012 to request restoration or else the policy will prevent you from doing so in the future; you would need to seek a new WP:RFA. Until December 30, you can file a request at WP:BN for review by the crats. Thank you. MBisanz talk 04:22, 3 December 2012 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi there, I'm messaging you to let you know that I've removed Template:Adopting from your user page because you have been inactive for at least 30 days. If you are active again, you are welcome to add the template to your userpage anytime. -- Gabrielchihonglee-Bot (talk) 11:33, 2 April 2018 (UTC)
