Star wars unmentioned fancruft redirect. Has some mentions on Wikipedia but a good chunk are in disambiguation pages, people searching for the "free alliances" don't currently have anything to read about at the target page, it seems. Utopes (talk / cont) 22:58, 10 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This apparently is a song recorded by Zubeen Garg... but there is no way of knowing this as it is not listed as one of his songs. It IS listed as a song by [[
Beauty Sharma Barua]] (Kokalot Gagori) recorded in 1977 (Garg was born in 1972, and did not record that song when he was 5). Anyway, this search term causes confusion for people that might be looking for the 1977 song, but instead are taken to a page by a completely different singer, without the song present to begin with. While Gagori as a search term might have different possibilities, there is no such album referred to at the target, meaning that people that specify an album as a search will receive zero information about it. Utopes (talk / cont) 22:47, 10 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No such album called Gagori is mentioned at the target article. There are several different Gagori titles that exist on Wikipedia, including..... [never mind they are also unmentioned]. Gagori still is referred to though around Wikipedia though as a canal in Nauru, and a ward in Bamu Rural LLG, as well as being a song by two other people? I'm guessing on the second one, as it's also not mentioned, but at least one other in Beauty Sharma Barua. Utopes (talk / cont) 22:46, 10 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete - While I can understand the context of it, it's a grossly unlikely search term due to it being hopelessly vague without that. —Jéské Couriano v^_^v Source assessment notes 17:09, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- Weak Keep - I keep waffling in my opinion whether this should be deleted as ambiguous, as lots of things cost $299, and wanting to keep it because the mention of $299 at the 1995 E3 is actually extremely notable, and is the sort of thing a researcher or marketing student may actually want to search for directly on wikipedia. In the end, I think I lean ever so slightly more towards keeping it, but I fully understand the delete rational as well. This is a hard decision, really. Fieari (talk) 06:18, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete, too vague and unhelpful pointed at one location. Lots of things are known for being $299, even if not necessarily encyclopedic. Nobody would want to get to the Sony section of E3 1995 by typing a three digit number, instead of the totally natural search of E3 1995. This case is simply, the creation of a redirect, for the sake of redirecting. No logical use with zero context. Utopes (talk / cont) 17:58, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete and salt, can be reconsidered and unsalted if/whenever Sonichu is unsalted. Utopes (talk / cont) 23:04, 10 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment: IIRC, I created this from an AFC/R request, not realizing the non-domain name was salted. DrowssapSMM 23:31, 10 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete and salt as page creator. Had I realized Sonichu was salted, I wouldn't have created it in the first place, and likely would have requested salting myself. DrowssapSMM 23:35, 10 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete and salt, this quite clearly was requested as a method of getting around the Sonichu salt. The creator who fulfilled said request already has come forth and supported deletion, which I'm fairly certain means we can now do so speedily? Not sure how speedy salting can be, though. The redirect target was a section on TPG Inc. that had been practically unsourced for a decade (there was one source, but did not mention "Newbridge Capital"). Didn't seem notable enough to TPG to warrant an entire section, so I massaged the content that could be sourced into TPG Inc. History. Pegnawl (talk) 21:25, 10 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

- Changing to keep Okmrman (talk) 16:30, 25 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep both. Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Efinancialcareers.com concluded in 2017 that Efinancialcareers.com was not notable and that the website should redirect to Dice.com. The majority ownership of eFinancialCareers has been transferred from Dice.com parent company DHI Group, Inc. to eFC's management team. The press release quoted by the nominator says, "DHI will retain a 40% equity interest in eFC and have board representation." This is still significant ownership. This does not mean that eFinancialCareers should no longer redirect to Dice.com, where it is mentioned twice (once in the "History" section and once in the "Acquisitions by DHI Group, Inc" section. The remedy is to update Dice.com to note that eFinancialCareers is now 40% owned by Dice.com, not to delete the redirects. The redirects remain useful for readers who can read information about eFinancialCareers in Dice.com. Cunard (talk) 05:05, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The specific spelling "G-Whizz" does not appear in the targeted article about the car, though the different "G-Wiz" does. Also note that we have yet another spelling, "G-Wizz", currently redirecting to a TV channel. I came across this particular redirect while trying to clean up Greg (GWhizz) Nesbit, who annoyingly spells his stage name a whole bunch of ways, and his article has been nominated for deletion which could be relevant for the fate of this redirect. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (TALK|CONTRIBS) 13:13, 10 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- Greg (GWhizz) Nesbit has now been deleted, and he was the only person/thing I can find that literally uses "GWhizz" or "G-Whizz", so now there is no real place to send the redirect under discussion here. That was a soft deletion that may add some complications, but I hope not. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (TALK|CONTRIBS) 13:42, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

- @Vanderwaalforces, TarnishedPath, and Jay: There was a lot less than what there used to be, I started fixing those yesterday when there were 500+ links in mainspace, and meant to do them last night but got sidetracked waiting for a different page to be freed up. I didn't use AWB as after swapping the templates the list seemed fairly manageable, but I'm pretty sure this type of link-replacement is WP:AWB's bread and butter (i.e., collecting a list of all the pages that link to Democratic Labor Party (historical), and replacing the link to Australia, 1855). - Comment: This may be harder to fix than I thought. According to a Wiki, she appeared in the first season, and was a stepsister to Cinderella, but Cinderella is not a character in the first season. Then when I look up the actress, it says she appeared in season six. She has a sister Tisbe. The Wiki says the same characters were later called Anastasia and Drizella. I can't tell which was which. I don't really have time to deal with all this right now but I'll try later.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 17:45, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment: I know that I didn't use reliable sources. I used two Wikis and something called Hello Giggles but I feel reasonably confident that this edit can be used to keep the redirect, with this change: List_of_Once_Upon_a_Time_characters#Ella. If that's not enough, I'll try something else. As for the tables and lists of less important characters, I don't feel confident about trying to include her there because there may be a system for doing it. One of my sources said she did not actually appear until the sixth season but was only mentioned.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 20:17, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment: I think I have a solution. As I was doing further research, I discovered another redirect. How about Ugly_sisters#Once_Upon_a_Time_depictions? There is actually more detail there than anywhere else, regardless of whether my recent edits are accepted.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 20:35, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This is a weird case. The only reason this page exists is due to the creator working around the Raman Raheja title salt. The base name had been speedily deleted 3 times for A7 and G11, and this variant title lasted less than 24 hours as an article, before being WP:BLAR'd into the cricket league. Because there is only a passing mention of Raheja at the target, and no indication that Raheja is an entrepreneur, this redirect does not seem very useful without any content about Raheja being an entrepreneur at the cricket league page. - Yeah, while the redirect IS pointing to the correct location as per the BLAR'd article, I'm similarly in Utopes's boat in that I'm unsure Raheja counts as an entrepreneur. The only reason this redirect would be any help, is... to get around the salt, because nobody can put a redirect at Raman Raheja either-- because we don't, and can't, have the page Raman Raheja, someone typing Raman Raheja into the searchbar would quite quickly have their query autocompleted to Raman Raheja (entrepreneur), which... would then lead them to Legends League Cricket. On the one hand, as shown by it being the only thing said BLAR'd article talked about, it's pretty clear that Legends League Cricket is the only thing Raheja is notable for, meaning a redirect to here (where he's the CEO) is warranted; however, THIS redirect is probably a bad idea. The only possible way forward I can think of is to Delete this redirect, then-- with a big MAYBE attached, because I'm not sure that we should do this-- unsalt and create Raman Raheja as a redirect to Legends League Cricket, before immediately protecting the redirect. Multiple flying themes exist inside and outside of soundtracks. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (soundtrack) describes a flying theme, The Matrix Reloaded mentions a flying theme, Flying (Taehyung Theme) exists as a redirect to BTS World: Original Soundtrack, as well as any other theme that plays while flying. - Retarget to a disambiguation page (yet to be created) consisting of the aforementioned pages. signed, Pat talk 01:51, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

- After some thinking, I think having this Retarget to a disambiguation page wouldn't hurt. Okmrman (talk) 04:35, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

- I don't think this should retarget to the dab page-- I think this should BE the dab page. Dabify. 𝔏𝔲𝔫𝔞𝔪𝔞𝔫𝔫🌙🌙🌙 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔐𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔫𝔦𝔢𝔰𝔱 (talk) 11:36, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete and let search results do the work. The treatment of "flying theme" in the articles identified so far in this discussion is too brief for a disambiguation to be useful to readers. signed, Rosguill talk 14:56, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently, one of the characters in the movie used to be called Big Nose during production and was changed before release so it somehow warrants a redirect? Big Nose only appears in a hatnote and not the main article. Okmrman (talk) 19:46, 2 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- disambiguate there being Big Nose Kate, Big Nose George, Francis I of France king of France known as Big Nose, a character from Pink Panther and Pals, a character from Big Nose the Caveman, a character from The Enemy (Higson novel), a variant of the Belgian Railways Class 54 locomotives, Big Nose Mountain in Jocotenango, a song by Poison Clan off the album Poisonous Mentality, a racist allusion to the Jewish nose or the Germanic nose -- 65.92.247.66 (talk) 07:18, 3 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete. 'Big Nose' is not a term that is notably associated with this film. It refers to a very minor charachter (not even on the main cast list), and their name was changed to 'Debbie the Dog Mom' for the main release. Not worth disambiguating. Aszx5000 (talk) 11:18, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A recently created "mos" redirect created minutes after the correct pseudo-namespace version of MOS:English idioms. "Mos" is not a widely accepted pseudo-namespace and there is general consensus to not be creating more of these; "MOS" titles don't need a "Mos" or "MoS" counterpart, as the search bar takes care of capitalization variants.
