A general election will be held in the U.S. state of Alabama on November 3, 2026. Primary elections will take place on May 26, 2026.
One-term incumbent Tommy Tuberville is running for re-election.[1]
Two-term incumbent governor Kay Ivey is term-limited and cannot seek re-election.[2]
Two-term incumbent lieutenant governor Will Ainsworth is term-limited and cannot seek re-election.[3]
Two-term incumbent attorneys general Steve Marshall is term-limited and cannot seek re-election.[4]
One-term incumbent Secretary of State Wes Allen is retiring to run for lieutenant governor.[5]
Four-term incumbent treasurer Young Boozer is eligible for re-election.
One-term incumbent auditor Andrew Sorrell is eligible to run for re-election.
Two-term incumbent commissioner Rick Pate is term-limited and cannot seek re-election.[6]
Any ballot measures need to be approved by the Alabama House of Representatives and the Alabama Senate.
