You have recently edited a page related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
Additionally, you must be logged-in, have 500 edits and an account age of 30 days, and are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on a page within this topic.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Incidents during the Hajj, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jordanian. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Thanks for your quick work on the 2024 Bolivian coup d'état attempt article. If I may offer just one suggestion, it is to follow the WP:OPCOORD precision guidelines regarding coordinates. For example, to point to Plaza Murillo, the guideline suggests a level of precision to the arcsecond, as I have just done for the article. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, ChinaAngVirus disinformation campaign), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. The article 2024 peace missions by Viktor Orbán has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
I believe the article needs to go for two reasons:
(1) The article subject is not independently notable. Foreign trips are an absolutely routine matter for prime ministers. Since Orbán undertook those trips as a prime minister of Hungary, they can be mentioned in Fifth Orbán Government. So, it would be either a delete or a merge and redirect.
(2) These trips had nothing to do with peacekeeping; the term "peace mission" has been solely a propaganda term in this case. Wikipedia should not lend credibility to this propaganda endeavour by having a dedicated article with such a title.
Overall, I see no reason for Wikipedia to have a separate article on Orban's four foreigns trips, additionally under such a misleading title.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

A tag has been placed on Russian collective guilt requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in the Syrian Civil War and ISIL. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has authorised uninvolved administrators to impose contentious topics restrictions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, expected standards of behaviour, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic. For additional information, please see the guidance on these sanctions. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor. |
As a note, per these community-authorized general sanctions, there is a one-revert rule in place for all articles related to the Syrian Civil War and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, broadly construed. This means that an editor in this area may make no more than one revert per article per 24 hour period, unless an obvious exception applies. Please let me know if you have any questions about this. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 04:12, 8 December 2024 (UTC)

Hey Noble Attempt! I came across your profile during some of your recent editing in regard to the Syrian conflict. I've been working on a big project over the last few weeks: Attacks on the United States. The aim is to have a list of every time the U.S. (government/military) was attacked, but not when the U.S. was attacking. My hope is to create attacks by the United States once this list is finished.
Well anyway, I wanted to see if you would be interested in helping me put together some of the summaries for the list. I am fairly sure most of the attacks themselves are on the list. But, I'm still working to get the summaries and references put together for each of them. If you are interested or have any questions, feel free to message me back here or on my talk page anytime! If not, I completely understand. Keep up the good work on Wikipedia! The Weather Event Writer (Talk Page) 04:33, 10 December 2024 (UTC)

Hello Noble Attempt, you recently created the article Russian occupation of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, though we already did at one point have an article on the subject, Russian occupation of Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava oblasts, which was intentionally merged into Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine per this consensus to merge. I would suggest at least providing some reasoning or opening a discussion to explain why we should recreate the article when nothing much has changed since then (Russian forces are somewhat close to the oblast but not inside it). Great work on January 2025 Southern California wildfires! Glad to see another wildfire editor. (Barnstar design shamelessly stolen from User:EF5) Wildfireupdateman (talk) |
You should wait until the discussion was closed before moving the article Arrest of Yoon Suk Yeol. I will not be reverting the move, but just so you know in the future that this is against Wikipedia guidelines. Thanks. Sahaib (talk) 09:21, 15 January 2025 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on Defending Women From Gender Ideology Extremism And Restoring Biological Truth To The Federal Government requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.
